Day 1

Delhi- Shimla (By overnight Volvo bus) 350 Kms / approx. 8 to 9 hours

Board Volvo from Delhi in the evening and start your overnight journey towards Shimla.

Day 2

Shimla

Upon arrival in Shimla bus stand , you will meet our representative / driver who will take you to your pre booked hotel. On arrival, check in at the hotel. This morning, set out to explore Shimla. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of India. The hub of Shimla is the Mall, which runs along the Ridge and is crowded with tourists. The Ridge is a large open space in the heart of the town and presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. To start with, visit the Viceregal Lodge. The six-storeyed Vice-Regal Lodge or Rashtrapati Niwas was built in 1888, and was formerly the residence of Lord Dufferin, the British Viceroy. The style of architecture is English Renaissance, the masonry comprises light blue limestone and the wrought stonework is done in sandstone. Another of Shimla's major landmarks is the Christ Church and St. Michael's Cathedral, known for its stained glass windows. Next, visit the Jhaku temple, dedicated to Hanumanji, the attendant of Lord Rama. It is at a height of 8048 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the city. Later, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Shimla – Kufri – Shimla ( 17 Kms / approx. 1 hour drive one way)

Today, make a full day excursion to Kufri. Kufri, at distance of 16 km from Shimla and at an altitude of 2510 m above sea level, is a site offering some famous hikes and wonderful snow for skiing. An enjoyable walk leads up to the Mahasu Peak. The Himalayan Nature Park here has a good collection of animals and birds found in the region. Kufri is famous for its trekking and hiking trails, and snow-covered slopes for skiing and tobogganing. The skiing season spreads between November to February and the tourist inflow is at its peak during winters. One can hike through thick forest around Kufri to the Mahasu Peak- the highest peak in Kufri. Return to Shimla for overnight stay.

Day 4

Shimla – Manali (250 Kms / approx. 8 to 9 hours )

After breakfast, you will be transferred to bus stand to board Deluxe Bus to Manali. Upon arrival, you will meet our representative/driver at Manali bus stand who will take you to your pre booked hotel. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5

Manali

This morning, set out to explore Manali. Perched at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level and spread along the banks of the river Beas, Manali is literally the “Valley of the Gods”. Visit the Hidimba or Dhungri Temple. Erected in 1533, this temple is dedicated to the local deity Hidimba, wife of the Pandava prince, Bhim. The temple is noted for its four-storeyed pagoda and exquisite wooden carvings. Visit the Manu Maharishi Temple, dedicated to sage Manu. Later visit Vashisht Kund… Vaishisht, around 3 km from Manali, boasts a pair of old stone temples, opposite each other above the main square. The temple tanks are underground hot-water/sulfur springs. Thereafter proceed to the Tibetan Market, featuring shops that sell shawls, woolen clothes, handicrafts, imported goods and souvenirs. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

Manali

Today, make a full day excursion to Kullu. The valley of gods, or the ‘habitable end of the world’, as the Kullu valley has come to be known, spreads out its charm on either side of the upper reaches of the river Beas. This valley is famous for the beauty and its majestic hills covered with Pine and Deodar forest sand sprawling apple orchards. Kullu valley is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan and Great Himalayan range. The valley is only 80 km long and 2 km at its broadest, yet a fairly wide area is open to the visitors to enjoy the spectacle of variegated mountain scenery. In the spring Kullu is at its most colorful with pink blossoms and white flowers while the higher slopes are aglow with gorgeous rhododendrons. The deodar-fringed grassy huge maidan called Dhalpur, is a stage for many colorful fairs. The valley serves as a starting point for most treks. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7

Manali – Delhi (By overnight Volvo bus) 532 Kms / approx. 13 to 14 hours

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Manali bus stand for your return overnight journey to Delhi.

Day 8

Delhi

Arrive Delhi. Tour Ends
