Known as the lake district of India, Nainital is located in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand and gets its name from the Naini lake. A former British hill station, Nainital today is one of the best summer holiday destinations in Uttarakhand. The city’s charm is only added to with the hundreds of ancient temples and peaks with amazing views of the mountains in the backdrop. The place is set in a valley containing the pear-shaped Naini lake, approximately two miles in circumference and surrounded by mountains

Day 1

Delhi – Nainital (310 kms. / approx. 8 to 9 hours drive)

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will our representative/driver at the airport or railway station & drive towards Nainital. Located at an altitude of 1,938 mts. above sea level in the Kumaon region and is popularly known as the lake district of India. On arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the famous Naini lake ( by your own). It is believed that the Naini Lake is one of the 64 Shakti Peeths or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. The spot where Sati's eyes (or Nain) fell, came to be called Nain-tal or lake of the eye. The goddess Shakti is worshiped at the Naina Devi Temple and then, visit the local market for some shopping at Mall road. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2


Today, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Nainital. Visit Snow View Peak, at an altitude of 2270 m, situated on top of the Sher-ka-danda ridge. A ropeway or cable car ride is the best-known way to access the snow viewpoint. Also visit Naini Peak, also known as Cheena Peak. Later, visit Dorothy’s Seat, which provides picture perfect views of Nainital and its surrounding regions. Then proceed to Land's End, to enjoy spectacular views of Khurpatal and its surroundings. Next, proceed to the State Observatory of Nainital, which is devoted to astronomical studies. Lastly, visit Hanumangarhi, popular for its spectacular view of the sunset. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Nainital - Ranikhet - Nainital (60 Kms. / approx. 2 hours - One way)

After breakfast, full day excursion to Ranikhet. It is a hill station and cantonment town in Almora district. Ranikhet is at an altitude of 1869 meters above sea level and within sight of the Western peaks of the Himalayas. Evening back to Nainital & overnight stay.

Day 4

Nanital - Delhi (310 Kms / approx. 8 to 9 hours drive)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
