Uttarakhand is often referred to as the Devbhumi due to many Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres found throughout the state.The state is divided into two divisions, Garhwal and Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. The interim capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city of the state, which is a rail head. Some of the most well-known hill stations in India are in Uttarakhand like Mussoorie, Nainital, Dhanaulti, Chakrata, Tehri, Lansdowne, Pauri, Sattal, Almora, Kausani, Bhimtal, and Ranikhet are some popular hill stations in Uttarakhand. Auli and Munsiyari are well-known skiing resorts in the state. The state has 12 National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries which cover 13.8 percent of the total area of the state. The oldest national park on the Indian sub-continent, Jim Corbett National Park, is a major tourist attraction. The park has varied wildlife and Project Tiger run by the Government of India.

Day 1

Delhi – Nainital (310 kms / approx. 8 to 9 hours )

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will meet our representative/driver at the airport or railway station & drive towards Nainital. On arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the famous Naini lake. It is believed that the Naini Lake is one of the 64 Shakti Peeths or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. The spot where Sati's eyes (or Nain) fell, came to be called Nain-tal or lake of the eye. The goddess Shakti is worshiped at the Naina Devi Temple and then, visit the local market for some shopping at Mall road. Return to hotel for overnight stay in Nainital.

Day 2


Today, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Nainital. Visit Snow View Peak, at an altitude of 2270 m, situated on top of the Sher-ka-danda ridge. A ropeway or cable car ride is the best-known way to access the snow viewpoint. Also visit Naini Peak, also known as Cheena Peak. Later, visit Dorothy’s Seat, which provides picture perfect views of Nainital and its surrounding regions. Then proceed to Land's End, to enjoy spectacular views of Khurpatal and its surroundings. Next, proceed to the State Observatory of Nainital, which is devoted to astronomical studies. Lastly, visit Hanumangarhi, popular for its spectacular view of the sunset. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Nainital - Kausani (120 Kms/ approx. 4 to 5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Kausani, at the height of 6250 ft. / 1890 meters above sea level, it offers a spectacular 300 kms wide view of the Himalayas & walks in the thickly wooded area. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Kausani is famous for its spellbinding view of Himalayan range. The glory of the snow crowned Himalayan range reaches its pinnacle when the sun rays turn them into gold at morning and red –orange sky at the sunset. In the early evening, visit Sunset Point & Gandhi Ji Ashram. Overnight stay in Kausani.

Day 4


Today, enjoy sightseeing of Kausani. The major attraction at Kausani is that it offers wondrous vistas of the Kumaon Himalayas. You can visit the Anashakti Ashram, a landmark of Kausani. The Ashram is renowned for its association with Mahatma Gandhi, who once stayed there. You can also visit Baijnath, 17 kms far away from Kausani, to see the Baijnath temple. The Kausani Tea Estates are worth a visit, due to the singular nature of the tea here… it is different as it is grown in foggy and cool weather. For true adventure seekers, Kausani offers interesting treks like the Adi Kailash Trek, Bageshwar Sundardhunga Trek and the Base Kausani Trek. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Kausani - Nainital (120 Kms / approx. 4 to 5 hours )

After breakfast, drive to Nainital. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Day is free for own activities. Overnight stay in Nainital.

Day 6

Nainital – Delhi (310 kms. / 8 Hrs.)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi airport or railway station for your onward journey.
