Day 1

Delhi – Jaipur (265 Kms / approx. 5 to 6 hours drive)

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will meet by our representative/ driver at the airport or railway station & drive towards Jaipur. On arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel. Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan still looks cradled and well protected. Jaipur takes its name from Maharaja Jai Singh, who in the early 1700s became the king of amber at the age of 13. Thus giving it the name of 'the pink city' with pink and orange the dominant colors, the effect is magic at dusk. Evening is free to explore the local markets of Jaipur. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 2

Jaipur

Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur , also known as the ‘Pink City’… it is famous for its colorful culture, forts, palaces, and lakes. The old city of Jaipur is painted pink, which gives it a magical glow. Visit the Amber Fort… a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The best way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on elephant back. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows is made of pink sandstone. Post lunch, visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Later, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, comprising geometric devices for measuring time. You will also visit the Albert Hall, which was modeled on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. Return to hotel for overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3

Jaipur – Jodhpur (330 Kms / approx. 7 to 8 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur is famous as the blue city because of its blue cottages. The lively desert city of Jodhpur stands at the border of the Thar Desert and is the second major city of Rajasthan after Jaipur. Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel in Jodhpur. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4

Jodhpur

Today, take a full-day sightseeing trip of Jodhpur, which is the second largest city in Rajasthan and also called the ‘Sun City’. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This spectacular fort made from red sandstone stands on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur. Also visit Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The monument, in its entirety, is built out of intricately carved sheets of marble. Next, visit Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is one of the largest and grandest private residences in the world. This golden-yellow sandstone monument was conceived on the grandest possible scale, in the fashionable Art Deco style of that time. Later, drive past the Mandore garden, which showcases cenotaphs of Jodhpur's former rulers, built along the lines of Hindu temples. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (270 Kms / approx. 5 to 6 hours drive )

After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer. The city of Jaisalmer is famous for its carved havelis (grand mansions). You will realise that this destination is an exotic marvel of the Rajasthani culture. On arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel in Jaisalmer . Evening is free for leisure activity. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 6

Jaisalmer

Today, enjoy a full-day tour of Jaisalmer, which lies in the heart of the Thar Desert…a city seeped in color and rich tradition; it was once a major centre on the trading route between India and the west. Visit Jaisalmer Fort, which is the only living fort of India and houses the entire township within its ramparts. There are three beautifully sculpted Jain temples from the 12th-15th century A.D., and five interconnected palaces which you can explore during your visit. At the center of the fort is Raj-Mahal, now known as Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum & Heritage Centre. Visit Salim Singh ki Haveli and Patwon-ki-Haveli , which is the largest and most elaborate mansion of its kind in Jaisalmer, followed by a visit to Nathmal Ji ki Haveli. Later, visit Gadsisar Lake, surrounded by numerous beautiful shrines. Rare migratory birds stop for a drink at the lustrous lake. In the evening, visit the Vyas Chhatri; this is the cenotaph of the sage Vyas, the author of the Mahabharat. The Vyas Chhatri is also known as sunset point as it allows fantastic views of Jaisalmer, particularly at dusk. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7

Jaisalmer – Bikaner (330 Kms / approx. 7 to 8 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to to Bikaner. Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel in Bikaner. Today, take a half day tour of Bikaner …if ever beauty has bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner. Founded in 1488 AD by Rao Bika Ji, Bikaner comprises imposing palaces and beautiful, richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sandstone. Visit Junagadh Fort… an unassailable fortress, it never been conquered. Built in 1593 A.D. by Raja Rai Singh, one of the most distinguished generals in the army of Emperor Akbar, the fort is a formidable structure encircled by a moat. Inside the fort are some magnificent palaces like Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas and Rang Mahal or palace of pleasure. The Har Mandir is the majestic temple for the royal family. Later, visit a camel breeding farm…here, professional camel breeders research how to breed the best camels. Watch young camels frolicking and feeding as you tour the massive farm … you can even treat yourself to a glass of nutritious camel milk. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8

Bikaner - Delhi ( 500 Kms / approx. 8 to 9 hours drive)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi airport or railway station for your onward journey.
